Ben Stickney

A graduate of the Naval Academy, Ben served as an F-18 pilot for more than a decade, flying more than 100 combat missions on four deployments. As a reservist, he supported US Embassies in Europe and was assigned to SEAL Team 17.

Amazon relocated him to Columbia to lead a team of 2000 people in 2012. He started Amazon's efforts with Keep the Midlands Beautiful and implemented a donation program which has given millions in food & goods to local charities. Ben later left Columbia to work with startup companies in Los Angeles including Jessica Alba’s Honest Company. He has since found a home as a Partner with 3FORTY3, working in venture capital, and returning during the pandemic to settle in Chapin on Lake Murray.

Ben is a member of the Chapin Rotary, Chapin American Legion, & the Irmo Navy. He is a USCG Master and Offshore Sailing Skipper... available for charters and tours on Lake Murray and sailing lessons for any experience level.
